My 20th Birthday

From the top I see,

the ground calls me.

What do i fear?

when i dont have anyone dear.

Just the lust of life

what a price to pay!

The checkmate, I await

is still on its way.

The partner so weak,

the logic he see.

Practicality he bears,

the reason I hear.

The friend so dear

close to fear…

To lose it all

when she calls her beat friend out.

The mom, she fear

sees her daughter in tears,

asks her why?

But no reply.

What have i done

so ugly, so wrong

That even on my 20th birthday

the pillow remains numb.
